LBS Demolition is a family owned and operated business that started life as “LaFave Boys of Summer,” in 2012. Back then, we were just a pick-up truck, a trailer, and a father and sons team with a passion for busting up and hauling away Michigan’s unwanted stuff. Over time, Jeff, Lucas, Jacob, and Joshua assembled a team of experts and array of equipment to make LBS capable of handling any task thrown their way. Today, over a decade later, LBS Demolition has grown to one of Southeast Michigan’s best and largest demolition companies through our commitment to customer satisfaction, competitive pricing, and expedient service. Jeff LaFave

Jeff LaFave is the proud owner of LBS Demolition, southeast Michigan’s premier residential and commercial demolition company. Jeff brings decades of experience to LBS, having been a licensed builder for over 30 years and possessing certifications in asbestos abatement and a valid CDL-A license with endorsements for triples and air brakes. Jeff also holds a degree in building construction management from Michigan State University.


Jeff has LEAN management experience, having served as Vice President of Demolition at Regal Rigging and Demolition prior to starting LBS Demolition. There he was responsible for advertising, marketing, operations, hiring and discharging of employees, contract procurement, project staffing and management, production reports, costing, invoicing, collections, commodities brokering, and fleet management/CSA.


Jeff is also the owner of a masonry company and an erosion control company, JV-1 Erosion Control, and he is an avid fan of collegiate football and rugby. In the rare times he isn’t working to take care of Michigan’s demolition, erosion control, or masonry needs, Jeff enjoys tailgating, hunting, or heading to the range with his family.

Lucas LaFave

Lucas LaFave is the Operations and Field Director at LBS Demolition, southeast Michigan’s premier source for residential and commercial demolition services. Lucas brings over a decade of industry experience to the table, having served over 2,000 customers over the years.


Lucas graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Marketing. He is also the founder of Superior North Marketing, a digital marketing and consulting agency.


When Lucas isn’t hard at work servicing southeast Michigan’s residential and commercial demolition needs, Lucas loves spending time hiking, climbing, and camping.
